Does Phone Phishing protects from phone phishing?

No. Phone Phishing does not use its database to provide any sort of protection. In the future, the data collected through Phone Phishing could be used to help the community and/or the phone carriers to build a blacklist of suspicious numbers.

Who's behind Phone Phishing?

There is no organization behind phone phishing, neither public nor private. Phone Phishing is a no-profit project and its authors provide this service as-is, with the only purpose of doing some statistics regarding the phone-based phishing attempts.

However, the calls listed on Caller Complaints may or may not be fraudulent as well, and thus could appear on both the websites.
