What is this all about?

While phishing scams are normally spread through e-mail, the use of automated or human-driven phone calls have been recently used to steal valuable information such as Social Security Number, generic account data, PIN numbers and so forth.

As e-mail phishing, phone-based phishing is a social engineering attack but it exploits spoken dialogues in order to collect data, instead of tricking the user into clicking a malicious link.

PhonePhishing.info (i.e., "Phone Phishing") let its visitors to report information about phone phishing scams such as the phone number, the subject of the call, whether or not it is human-driven, and so forth.

Hey, where's the data?

Phone Phishing is just born but we are happy to say that we received some interesting reports.
